The 128th Annual Varsity Show
University President Lee Bollinger longs for Columbia to achieve the top spot in the U.S. News and World Report’s college rankings. After an art history seminar accidentally summons the Devil out of a painting in Avery, she tells a possessed-Bollinger the secret to the #1 spot: not by increasing Columbia’s endowment, but by decreasing the size of the student body. Along with Provost Mary Boyce, the Devil and Bollinger turn campus into a hell-scape as students struggle to avoid their ultimate damnation if they are deemed failures: the call center in Wien Hall.
